Shetland Sheepdogs & Rough Collies
Shetland Sheepdogs and Rough Collies have always been part of my life. My parents owned Shelties before I was born. When I was 12 years old, I showed my mothers Rough Collie, and eventually I was able to own my first Collie who came from the Astrellita kennel. I have also had Blue Merle Collies from the Rubec kennel, and a Tricolour from the Myriehewe kennel. Several of my Collies have won well up to CC level. It was in 1993, that I introduced Shetland Sheepdogs back to the home kennel, and have been campaigning three generations. My Sheltie’s pedigree’s go back to the Shelert, Kyleburn, Myriehewe and Exbury lines. I enjoy showing, and my Shelties have won many awards. I am currently showing a Tricolour of Myriehewe breeding. I have also had the pleasure of handling Collies and Shelties for other friends, and have recently campaigned a Sable Sheltie from the Lizmark kennel to her title. I began judging in 1983, and have progressed to Shetland Sheepdog and Rough Collie Breed Club shows and award CC’s in both breeds. I have judged overseas in Holland, Sweden, and Denmark, and also judge other Collie related breeds within the Pastoral/Herding Groups. I like to learn about the dogs I judge, and have attended many Kennel Club (UK), Breed Club and Health Seminar’s, and have Certificates for a variety of exams and assessments for these breeds. I reside on the committee of the English Shetland Sheepdog Club, for which I also hold the position of Secretary for the East Anglian Branch. I am also Show Secretary of the East Anglian Collie Association.
I am very much looking forward to coming to judge in Russia.
